These dolls were made in a set of three. Please join us in making one, two, three or more of these expressive dolls. The kit will contain enough items to make one doll. More kits will be available.

You will learn how to cover a formed face with cloth. I love this technique because you get a sculpted face with the warmth of cloth. I will give you my tricks in how to create a perfect head shape and how to position the head on the body for wonderful expression.

You will also learn armature in the hands and tube body construction or how to create a freestanding doll with armatured legs.

Creative clothing will be included with tricks on jewelry and on hats.

Pattern included with class.

Kit  includes: Head form, overlay, torso-cotton, arm-cotton & knit, bosom knit (¼ yard cotton 9x12+ knit), head back, dowel, eyelashes & 5” foam core base.

She is a woman of the moon. Her costume represents the full moon with a white empire dress and the new moon with her midnight velvet cape with streaming stars flowing from ribbons.

In this class, you will learn needle sculpting, the placement of eyes into cloth, how to do an overlay which creates a very nice finish. This is a great technique and you will be able to expand on it with many different dolls!

You will also learn hand for gesture and leg armature for strength.  And learn the balance of weight placement and leg placement to create a sturdy free standing doll.

Costuming will be devoted to the second day. We will discuss color theory and pattern and color balance in costuming.
