This is a beautiful hinged ornament with a secret compartment inside to hold your favorite tiny treasures.  Jean is an excellent teacher who will guide you through the embellishment of this truly wonderful trinket. Each and every one of these bobbles will be a treasure in and of itself.

My life began in Osaka, Japan in the year l955. At the age of three, my family moved to California. I believe I was destined to be an artist before I was born. I can recall at the early age of five, spending many happy hours alone in my room, painting, sketching, writing and sewing. Children around me expressed themselves through play while I expressed myself through my art. I am still that way today. I share my life with my husband of eighteen years. He too was born an artist ,which enables us to encourage each other artistically.

We have three daughters that are unique individuals, two grandbabies and one very fat cat. I am extremely blessed that our entire family lives just a few miles apart

I began sculpting original "Art" dolls in November, l997.After ten and a half years with a large law firm, I had the opportunity to take a year off and decide the direction my life would take. Art has always been my passion but frankly I was not sure which medium to pursue. After many prayers the answer was revealed to me when I restored an old doll for my in-laws. From that moment, my family and friends encouraged me to follow my heart. I send heartfelt thanks to my entire family and friends, especially to my mother-in-law Toots and my husband Brett.

Dollmaking has been a wonderful form of expression for me. They are not dolls in my mind but "Art" and I try to convey this when I create. I have had the honor to be in several doll magazines: Contemporary Doll Collector, Dolls and Doll Reader. My work has been displayed at the 2000 and 2001 International Toy Fair in New York City, the 2001Doll and Teddy Bear Show at the Metropolitan Museum in New York and the Reno Doll and Teddy Bear Show.

I look forward to participating in many more shows to come. I want to thank my sculpting instructors and fellow dollmakers who have encouraged me to continue my quest in this wonderful world of "Art". Please continue to pass on your expertise to all who want to express themselves through this amazing "Art" form.
